To combat the myths and misconceptions surrounding COVID-19 and vaccines, we developed a digital campaign comprised of short factoids titled “Know the Facts”.

The “I’m Vaccinated Because…” campaign highlights short, personal reasons and stories of getting vaccinated from trusted messengers around LA County in communities with lower vaccination rates. The look of the design was clean and bold, so the focus was on the person or people who shared lived experiences and values with the audience.
REDISCOVER LA

The “Rediscover LA” campaign created visual and messaging bridges that humanize the experience of coming back together in the community. The campaign showcased community-centered people and spaces and represented the places and experiences we longed to return to.

Team Friday has extensive experience designing campaigns and creative concepts. We ensure clarity for the client and the process with comprehensive treatment that summarizes the concepts, objectives, creative and technical approach, style guide, and project timeline.
I’M VACCAINATED BECAUSE…

For the “I’m Vaccinated Because…” campaign, we created a video series to further tell the personal stories of vaccination choices by community members and leaders. The series utilized the creative of the static image series in order to focus on the narrative of the individual and family. We designed the series with a creative treatment to explain the motivation and the mission with a visual storyboard to share with the participants and client. The “I’m Vaccinated Because…” campaign consisted of 29 individual and family stories, across five languages of English, Spanish, Thai, Chinese, and American Sign Language.
REDISCOVER LA
JUNE 2021 - CURRENT
As part of the Rediscover LA campaign, we created a video with the Drew League, a prominent community partner and leader across LA County. For this video advertisement, we first developed the objective and mission to create a visual storytelling vehicle to showcase community partners returning to the activities they longed for, safely. The creative was hopeful, positive, and showed the connectedness of LA County neighbors to support each other through the pandemic. We designed a visual storyboard that summarized the creative concept, technical approach, references, audio, and timeline. Team Friday also designed and created a website landing page for the Rediscover LA campaign, that housed pertinent COVID information, vaccination clinics, and reference documents.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Team Friday designs, writes, records, edits, and publishes Public Service Announcements for the Department of Public Health across multiple languages and have been heard by millions of LA County residents.

COVID DIARIES

Team Friday, in partnership with Community Health Councils, designed, developed, recorded, edited and promoted a video series titled “COVID Diaries” with 18 videos featuring six organizations and eight participants across three languages of English, Spanish, and Thai. This video series concept was developed in the partnership, and then Team Friday specifically designed the storyline, interview questions, style, and timeline.
OUR PARKS

Team Friday worked with local and national coalition partners to create a communications strategy to influence elected officials to take action in support of Our Parks, focusing on BIPOC communities. We created a communications strategy and produced video content and static assets that were used across 40 organizations and policymakers.
PREVENTION INSTITUTE
JANUARY 2022 - JUNE 2022
Team Friday partnered with the Prevention Institute to design, film, and create a video series of grant recipients to document and highlight their story, their impact, and the voices of the community. The videos were created through interviews with the organizational and residential leaders, research of the work, and community outreach. Team Friday utilized a creative treatment to storyboard the concepts of the videos, including interview arcs, B roll, themes, style, and timeline.
MPOX AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
JUNE 2023 - CURRENT
Team Friday designed and created the mpox awareness campaign for the LA County Department of Public Health in the Spring of 2023. The campaign catches the focus audience's attention through playful illustrations and explains the main messages about the mpox vaccines. We used illustrations and animation to convey relevant medical information.

COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER OUTREACH INITIATIVE
OCTOBER 2020 - MARCH 2021
In 2020, Team Friday developed and implemented a communications strategy to create culturally relevant assets and brand extensions for the Community Health Worker Outreach Initiative.
Through this initiative, Team Friday created and designed more than 40 unique marketing outreach assets in 12 languages, including flyers, door hangers, and social media graphics. These assets used illustrations, infographics, and simple language to message complex public health information to communities across LA County.
SUPER BOWL
FEBRUARY 2022
In partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Team Friday created and deployed a multi-prong, dual-language campaign for the 2022 Super Bowl. The design concept utilized images recognizable and iconic to LA County and, in particular, Inglewood, CA, the home of the 2022 Super Bowl.
