OFFICE OF VIOLENCE PREVENTION YOUTH SUICIDE PREVENTION PILOT

LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Team Friday partnered with the Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) Youth Suicide Prevention Pilot (YSPP) on a campaign and launch strategy  for a Youth Suicide Prevention campaign that will genuinely connected with young people across LA County. The campaign will centered a culturally and linguistically responsive suicide prevention and postvention strategy tailored to youth across Los Angeles County. This initiative aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure accessible resources for suicide prevention and support. Tactics included out-of-home execution, radio, focused social media launch, youth and caregiver influencer content creation, and subject matter expert ambassador outreach.

OFFICE FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION 

LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The OAECE partnered with Team Friday to develop and execute an integrated public awareness campaign for underresourced communities and communities impacted by the justice system with the goal of improving awareness of subsidized early care and education options. The campaign included focused out-of-home, social media, and radio, as well as the development of a central information hub directing visitors to community resources.

UCSD SCHOOL OF MEDICINE & COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO

COMMUNITY MARKET PROGRAM 

Our opportunity with the San Diego County Department of Public Health and UCSD School of Medicine was to develop a brand identity for the Community Market Program. The program supported transforming corner stores into community markets with healthy retail and small business technical assistance. The project included visual brand identity, collateral, messaging, and transadaptation of messaging and creative into Spanish and Arabic. 

WHOLE FOODS FARE CONVERSATIONS 

The Southern Pacific Regional Whole Foods marketing team approached Team Friday to help them reinvigorate high profile partnerships in Los Angeles and help expand their presence in the LA food ecosystem. The partnership included branding, graphic design and collateral, and experiential event execution. 

I’M VACCINATED BECAUSE

For LA County Department of Public Health's COVID-19 Vaccine Campaign, we created 'I'm Vaccinated Because...' featuring diverse community members sharing personal reasons for vaccination. This approach helped audiences see themselves in the campaign, increasing relevance and trust. Executed across digital/social, print, Out-of-Home, and video channels.

Our Mpox Vaccine Campaign for LA County Department of Public Health used vibrant, playful design to address a sensitive health topic with approachability. The campaign emphasized discretion and the critical two-dose regimen, reaching target audiences through strategic placement in social/digital channels, OOH, premiums, dating apps, restaurants/bars, and print materials

DEPARTMENT OF MANAGED HEALTH CARE

For California's Department of Managed Health Care, we developed a targeted social media campaign that educated health plan members about their rights and available protections. The strategy combined compelling video and still imagery to increase engagement while building DMHC's social audience for sustained communication.

COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER OUTREACH INITIATIVE

The Community Health Worker Outreach Initiative positioned CHWs as trusted community messengers during the rapidly-evolving COVID-19 pandemic. We quickly translated complex public health updates into plain-language materials, supported by training resources and peer networking. The campaign included print collateral, digital/social content, and an 8-part video series highlighting CHWs' essential contributions.

LA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY  / ECONOMIC MOBILITY INITIATIVE 

Team Friday developed and implemented a comprehensive outreach strategy for the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) to support diverse small businesses and entrepreneurs across Los Angeles. Our approach included developing branding and messaging, paid and earned media, media training, event planning, social media engagement, and more. Our focus began with promoting five small business summits across LA County with the launch and announcement of the EMI program.
